Chest Pain In Center Of Chest.
Thanks for posting your query.
Transient chest pain in retrosternal area could be due to cardiac causes like angina or myocardial ischemia. Less commonly, non cardiac causes like reflux esophagitis or pancreatitis or any lung pathology may cause transient retrosternal pain since they are more likely to cause persistent and recurrent pain.
Though you have no associated symptoms like sweating, tachycardia, breathlessness, dizziness which may signify a severe problem, it is always advisable to consult your physician or cardiologist for confirmation of diagnosis. He can evaluate you clinically including assessment of your blood pressure and an electrocardiogram (ECG). Further testing like stress testing can be done depending upon the evaluation.
If all tests are normal, then non cardiac causes might be evaluated.
So though it doesn't seem an emergency condition as of now, please do consult your doctor as soon as possible.
