Child Has Electric Shock Feeling In Body. Blood And Allergy Test Normal. Multiple Sclerosis?

Question: Hi,

My 12 year old son has feeling of electrical shocks in his body (limbs, chest, head) and had two episodes of missing heartbeats. He also feels exhausted and is very pale.
That is new to us because he alsways has been very active, playing in different Rep sports teams.
Now, when he comes back from school, he needs to take a nap and has no energy at all.
We went to see our GP. The blood test was normal and the allergy test too. He is going to have an ECG and hoslter done this week.
Is it enough? Should I ask for more tests? Can it be something else than the heart? Maybe MS?

Thanks.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Normal blood tests and allergy tests are re-assuring...
ECG - routine and Holter - is the first and most important step.
An ECHOcardiography is also essential...

At this age of stepping into teens- make sure, he is not hiding anything from you (be tactful) - like substance abuse and so on... It is a possibility to be considered, even though it may not be true in many cases.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck

No substance abuse here.

What about the electrical shocks feeling? Can they be a sign of heart problem? Or something else, like Multiple Sclerosis?
