Child Has Wart On Mouth. Not Cured After Treatment. How To Remove This?
Question: Hello Dr.
My 7 year old daughter has 2 warts on her mouth. One on her upper lip by the peak, and the other on the bottom lip. We already tried treatment at the Dermatologist office. They numbed her lip and used a hot instrument to burn them off. It was awful and painful-she will not go back. will Derma Tend work? Is there any problem using on her lips?

Removing the wart with RF cautery at dermatologist office under local numbness is ideal treatment.It ensures complete removal and without side effects.
If you are not willing to go for it,you can use salicylic acid based cream or dermatrend for it .Results can be variable .Dermatrend is meant for mole removal and its effect on warts is not proven.You will need to follow up with your dermatologist for assessing the complete removal after its application.You can use it over lips.You should once consult your dermatologist for office based alternative less painful type.
