Thank you for asking this question.
Your child may be having blocked nose due to viral Rhinitis or allergic Rhinitis. Usually blocked nose of long standing can cause mild sleep disturbance and mild wheezing otherwise severe adverse effect to heart is not known. But if kid gets rhinitis of allergic origin frequently then he is prone for wheezy bronchitis as wel. Treatment of 'common cold' relieves nose block also. You may try to install Saline nose drop and give oral syrup containing montelukast and levocetrizine combination, usually it is given for 30 days once a day dose. Sometime evaporative liquids preparations are available which can be applied to pillow and handkerchief. Nebulizer based anti inflammatory medicines can be used for 2-3 days once a day in acute condition.
Hope you got answer of your problem.
Take care and do not worry.
All the best.

1) what is the medicine name which contains montelukast and levocetrizine combination. Also pls suggest the dosage for a 2.6 year old girl.
2) Can there be any Antibiotic given for the infection/allergy
3) What natural remedies can be tried like any specific food or fruits like papaya.
4) What could have caused this infection or allergy in nose.
5) How to prevent in getting into mild wheezing bcox of blocked nose. Pls advise.
Madam you may give "Levocet-m" kid dt tab 1/2 tab once a day for 30 days.
Antibiotics are given, if acute infection is present and best is amoxicilline kid tabs for 5 days.
Allergy is caused by household dust and pets etc. Keep your baby away from allergens. Nasal drops must be used to keep nose moist and irrigated.
I hope you will get your baby motivated for this.
These steps are sure to work if given seriously.
Thank you.
