Why Is A 16 Year Old Having Heavy Mucus In Back Of Throat After Removing Tonsils?

Yes, My son had his tonsils removed when he was 10 or 11 years old he is now 16. After his surgery he complained of heavy mucus in the back of his throat and today still has the same problem I'm concerned. Did something go wrong with the surgery? How can he get this problem taken care of?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
He is complaining of heavy mucous in the throat after tonsilectomy. It may be a coincidence, the mucous in the throat may be due to the allergy, or viral rhinitis. He would have developed it due to some allergy to food, clothes, cosmetics, wool etc.
I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and
protein rich foods to hastens the recovery.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
