Circular Spots On The Tip Of Finger. What Might They Be?

default
Posted on Wed, 13 Nov 2013
Question: I have a cluster of small, circular spots on the tip of my finger (palm side). I would say they are warts, but they're completely flat. Recently, they've started to cause discomfort. I do have one or two of the same type of spots on other areas of the same hand. What might they be?

Brief Answer:
These are palmar warts only

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
I have gone through the image of lesion.
These are actually palmar warts. A palmar wart can be flat. it is not necessary that every wart will be raised with irregular surface. As viral warts have a tendency to spread that is why you are having multiple lesions.
Now to manage the same, you may discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist
1)salicylic acid ointment or paint for local application
2)Paring of the lesion with or without trichloroacetic acid application
3)Cryotherapy of lesion
4)Cautery of lesion

Personally I prefer paring with TCA application or cryotherapy of lesions.

Hope this helped. Should there be any query, please write back.
Take care
