Could The HPV Vaccine Be Helpful For Women Over The Age Of 28?
I am 28yrs old ,married for 2.5 yrs. As per my information, the vaccine helps only at the time when you get it when you are not sexually active like say in your teens or early twenties. Please advise.
I will strongly suggest to get vaccinated.

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.
1) First of let me congratulate you for thinking of taking preventive measure in the form of cancer cervix vaccine.
2)The age group of 15 to 45 in sexually active lady is is one of the factors of cancer cervix.
3) Even with trusted partner, risk of getting transmission of Human Papillomavirus through non sexual ways is always there. Taking this vaccine develops immunity against many strains of the virus. With the effect of various hormonal changes throughout the menstrual cycle and life stages of a woman aea of cervix near the opening (External os) is vulnerable to cellular changes and infections. If Human Papillomavirus infection occurs, which is asymptomatic, then it exposes to more risk.
4) i usually advise to take HPV vaccine as suggested by particular pharma manufacturer, at suggested intervals. It will not be harmful, but will be helpful only.
I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you great health.
