Develop Swelling, Bruise And Pain On Hand. Found Dead Muscle Lump Below Elbow. Any Advice?

Thanks for posting your query.
Formation of a dead muscle lump in the arm causes a fluid accumulation, infection and gangrene in the area which needs surgical removal to save the life.
Intravenous antibiotics are necessary to suppress the infection.
The rise in WBC count is suggestive of an infection in the area. The infection is also associated with reduced platelet counts which is responsible fro spontaneous appearance of bruises.
Such a muscle gangrene can lead to grave consequences due to the spread of infection. The improvement is slow as there are multiple complications.
The treatment the patient is getting seems to be correct.
It will take him some time to improve. A close monitoring of body vitals and blood tests are needed.
I hope this answers your query.
