Hi
Welcome to XXXXXXX
In viral infection, there do occur gum swelling.
Some other risk factors where gum swelling is a manifestation are
1.Tobacco use
2.Chemotherapy
3.Fungal infection
4.Sensitivity to toothpaste or mouthwash
5.Drug side effect
6.Malnutrition, particularly Vitamin C deficiency.
Hope it's clear
