Developed Painful, Red, Circular Rash At Hand Joint Index Finger. Looks Likes Blisters. What To Do?
Question: Developed XXXXXXX red color circle rash with pinpoint white center on rt knuckle hand joint index finger two days ago
Very Painful, itchy , drained clear fluid, dried up, skin burned appearance, dime size or smaller, became slightly burning/pain again this morning, drained slightly clear fluid again - center skin peeled like burn blister -Treated w cortisone ointment - telfa pad & non allergic tape - continues to burn/ hot to touch
No known bite- no allergy- extremely neat/clean - have had painful small breakout on back area on/off past year

It seems that the lesion described by you is a Fixed Drug Eruption or an insect bite.
If there is a history of a drug intake then the likelihood of fixed drug eruption is more but if not then its a simple insect bite which might have gone unnoticed during the night time.
A course of oral antibiotic and a topical antibiotic cream is required alongwith pain killer and antihistamine for pain and itching.
A dermatologists opinion in person should be taken before taking the medicines.

If there is a history of a drug intake then the likelihood of fixed drug eruption is more but if not then its a simple insect bite which might have gone unnoticed during the night time.
A course of oral antibiotic and a topical antibiotic cream is required alongwith pain killer and antihistamine for pain and itching.
A dermatologists opinion in person should be taken before taking the medicines.
