
Diabetic. Having Prick Like Pain In Lower Leg. Area Is Oily, Swollen And Stiff. Cause?

Question: i am having a pin prick like pain in my right lower leg. the area is oily, swollen and stiff. i am 62, male,have undergone PTCA in 2005, diabetic but sugar level icontrolled, recent Hb1c is 5.7% but uric acid level is 10.6 mg/dl

Pin prick sensation in leg may be related to nerve pressure or reduced blood circulation in leg. Later may be more likely reason. I would suggest to consult a physician and get a thorough exam. You may need to get a colour doppler of the leg to ckeck the blood circulation. If it is radiating pain alongthe whole leg then Iit could be nerve related issue and in that case mri of the spine needs to be done. Thanks

it is not in the whole leg but on 6" x 2" area just above the ankle joint. the area is warm to touch and extremely sensitive.
