Question: My 3 year-old daughter is on Cefprozil. She was diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth disease and some of the sores have become infected. Is it ok to give he some Benadryl too, to relieve the itch?

Hi there,
Yes..go right ahead...it is very much OK. It will in fact help her symptomatically. Hand/Foot/Mouth disease is fairly common in kids. You may want to wash well with soap & water & a mild antiseptic to boot. Hygeine too helps get it under wraps sooner than later. Not to worry though...it resolves pretty well with no real damage. So all Good. Wish your little one a speedy recovery!
Cheers & Godspeed!
