What Causes Fever, Sore Throat And Rashes On Hands And Feet?

hello, i had a fever for 24 hours, then after the fever went away i developed a rash on my hands and feet, as well as a sore throat, the sore throat and rash is gone, but now my hands have blistered and peeling skin. I ve narrowed it down to HIV and Hands Foot and mouth disease(HFMD) I just got tested for HIV but have not received the results yet, I think its HFMD but not sure, what do you think?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that it seems to be HFMD. But, there is no specific treatment for that. It usually improves within 10 days without any special treatment. Do you have painful sores in your mouth? In such case an oral antiseptic and anesthetic would help reduce the pain. It is also necessary avoiding spicy food.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
