Diagnosed With Uti In Urine Test. Pain In Penis And Frequent Urination. Is It Indication Of Diabetes?
Question: I was daigonsed with uti
My report is as under
Colour - pale yellow
Odour- aromatic
Appearance - hazy
Ph - 5.0
Specific gravity - 1.020
Deposit - absent
Protein - present (trace)
Sugar/ketone bodies/bile salts/bile pigments- absent
Uribilinogen - normal
Blood - absent
Epithelial cells - 2-3 (hpf)
Pus cell -2-3 (phf)
Rest all are nil
I am having mild pain in my penis (middle of penis).
Doc advised - Norfolx and speroxate - twice daily and cital syrup thrice a day
I am drinking four ltrs water daily so having frequent urination
Is it ok. Plz advise. By when pain will go and frequent urination is not indication for diabities?

Because sugar is nil in urine.
Frequent urination ( Polyuria) is one of the symptom of diabetes mellitus.
starvation, dehydration.
My advise is to just reassure your self by checking the fasting and postprandial blood sugar to rule out diabetes.
Continue norfloxacin, speroxate and Cital syrup. If the pain and acidity is still there even after a course of antibiotic, it is better to check urine culture, ultrasound abdomen and pelvis and Serum electrolytes.
