Brief Answer:
does not cause severe effect on liver

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query.
Azithromycin can infrequently cause transient elevations of liver function tests (including AST and ALT) and elevated bilirubin. Hepatitis and cholestatic jaundice.
Codeine can cause Biliary spasm infreqently.

Interaction when given together is not known, and is also less likely. But I would suggest you not to drink alcohol.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

Hope this helps.
Take care
