Question: in july 2014 I was bitten by my 2 month old rottweiler puppy. As a precaution i took anti rabies vaccination on the 0th, 14th and 24th day. Now that one month has past the 3 month old pup has again bitten me, drawing blood. Do i need anti rabies vaccination again?
(The 3 month old pup has not received rabies injection. He mostly stays indoors with no contact with outside or street dogs)

Brief Answer:
No vaccination needed if proper wound toilet done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to health care magic.

I understand your concern regarding rabies but there is no requirement for vaccination in your case as there is less likely chances of your pet being rabid.

If your bite wound has been thoroughly cleaned, there is less likely chance of any infection.

If your pet is normal and healthy, I suggest you observe him for 10 days for any clinical signs of rabies.

Important signs include:
1. Apprehension and solitude
2. Fever
3. May become restless and aggressive
4. May develop seizures

I would also suggest you get him vaccinated as soon as possible.

If your tetanus vaccination is up to date, you do not have anything to worry about for now.

I hope I have cleared your doubts.

Please get back if any more clarifications.

Thanks
