Do Laser Treatments Before Pregnancy Have Any Effects On The Health?

Question: Hi,

I found out about my pregnancy 1 week ago and I had a laser hair removal treatment before my last period. My last period was on 22/06/2016 and last laser session was on 18/06/2016. Do laser treatments shortly before a pregnancy have any effects on the pregnancy?

hello and welcome to health care magic forum. thanks for writing in to is with your health query.Forst of all congratulations on the pregnancy, although laser treatment are not advised when planning for pregnancy, there are no known side effects found especially associated with having laser treatment . but I will advise you to have no more laser treatment sessions diring your pregnancy. start taking Folic acid tablets and eat green leafy vegetables and non vegetarian if possible. eat well and Take care. regards Dr Manisha Jain

I did not have any session since my last period and of course decided to stop them until after pregnancy once I found out about my pregnancy. So there is no known effects of laser treatment on the developing embryo if the laser treatment was done before pregnancy occured? No residual effects of lasers?
