Do Minor Jerks Affect Fetus At Four Months Of Gestation?
I am four months pregnant and today while travelling to office there was a big pothole on the road which I did not notice and thus got a jerk today.Hope that would not affect the baby .Also I have been told to use Susten 300 mg once a day during bedtime, discontinue FOL123 and in addition take FEMX two hours after dinner and Calzium half hour before lunch .
Also I do not understand whether my baby is fine or not except for the ultrasounds. I have to wait until the next ultrasound .Is dere any way I can know there is problem.
Also has the miscarriage chances reduced and what are the symptoms I should immediately consult a doctor
Kindly advise .
Minor jerks do not affect the baby.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
At four months of gestation, minor jerks usually do not affect the baby. You need not worry if the jerk has not caused any abnormal vaginal discharge or any pain in the abdomen. The medicines that you have been prescribed are correct.
The only way to diagnose that the baby is fine is by ultrasound scans. After fifth month you will start feeling the baby movements gradually.
The danger signs for which you have to be careful are- vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain, any abnormal vaginal discharge, etc.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
