Do Red Pointy Growth On The Side Of Vagina Indicate Yeast Infection?
Today I noticed a red pointy growth on the right side of my vagina. It seems to be on the side of the vaginal wall. When I push on if it, it hurts. I have been on a lot of antibiotics the whole of March snd have had two yeast infections since. I am itchy as well. Is this another yeast infection?
Need more information.

Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I can understand your concern here.
I have gone through your history and in my opinion it can be due to fungal infection, bartholin cyst, herpes virus infection or due to injury.
But before giving my opinion about it, I want to ask a few questions about it.
- can you please upload the image of the growth?
- For how long it is there and where it
is situated?
-Is it painful, filled with something and associated with any discharge (foul smelling) and other symptoms?
-Have you done STD test?
- Are you having enlarge lymph nodes?
- Are you sexusexually active and doing protected sex or not?
Please revert back to me with my answer.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks.
Regards
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I cannot take a clear enough phot of the growth. I 've had it for a couple of days now and I felt it in the shower on the same day the itchiness started. I have not been sexually active for 5 years now in any way so I do not have an STD. Unless there is another way of catching them and I am unaware of it. There is no foul smell. It's odorless. There is some discharge and it's mainly clear. It is not painful. It's uncomfortable if I push on it but not painful. I don't feel my lumph nodes to be enlarged. The main symptoms I have is the itchiness and the newly found small growth. It is located on the inside of the right vaginal wall and it is protruding as it is pointy. It's not deep inside the vagina, it is right at the opening of ghe vagina. I hope this helps in the diagnosis.
Thanks again
It can be due to yeast infection or due to bartholin cyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Sorry for the long delay in my response.
I have gone through your details and in my opinion it is most probably due to bartholin cyst or it can be due to yeast( fungal )infection.
So you should consult a Gynecologist and get yourself examined and take treatment accordingly.
You should maintain a vaginal hygiene, keep the area XXXXXXX dry, wear only cotton undergarments.
If it is due to fungal infection than you should take antifungal treatment and cream for local application.
If it is due to bartholin cyst, it may regress automatically or needs aspiratio, hot compress is also very effective.
Hope it is useful, feel free to discuss more questions.
Good luck.
Regards
You are most welcome.
