Do Stomach And Pelvic Pain Suggest UTI?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Jun 2016
Question: On Friday, I was painting and at the end of it I sat down because my stomach started hurting then my pelvic area started hurting as well. The feeling was like when I get a UTI. I then started getting chills to the point that I had goose bumps all over my arms. The Chills just wouldn't stop. Again, I thought it was just a UTI hitting me really hard so I went to go get AZO until I could see my doctor. Before I left, I went to the bathroom and wiped and saw a pebble size jelly looking round thing that was clear but yellow tinted. After taking the AZO, I was fine and I haven't taken it since and I'm fine but now worried because I have never felt that bad and don't think I have a UTI.

Brief Answer:
please clarify

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

did this jelly thing come out of your urethra? Did you have other symptoms like burning sensation when passing urine or urgency/frequency? Do you have fever?

If you have fever then immediate medical attention is required. Otherwise a urinalysis should clarify the issue of potential urinary tract infection. AZO is good for the symptoms of a urinary tract infection but it's not curative. Antibiotics would be required if an infection is confirmed.

Kind Regards!

I'm not sure where it came out of. Typically when I have a UTI, I would still have those feelings and I don't. I don't think I have a fever but that day I felt like I had urgency to go to the bathroom.

Brief Answer:
make sure your temperature is within normal limits

Detailed Answer:
I see...
It's important to make sure that you don't have fever, because if it's a urinary tract infection with fever then urgent treatment is required.

If no fever is present then the urinalysis will give you the answer. Temporary abdominal symptoms may have various causes. The more serious disorders have persistent symptoms.
