Does Adderral Use Increase GGT And ALT Levels?
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Good morning
I am sorry to hear about your ill health
Aderral is known to cause elevation in liver enzymes due to amphetamine related liver toxicity. But after discontinuatiom of aderral, the illness is self limited and usually and resolves with conservative and expectant management
If I was your doctor I also like to perform blood tests to rule out hepatitis c and b infections which could also explain this Elevated enzymes
Hope this would answer your question
Wish you a speedy recovery

I have been tested for Hep A,B and C, all negative and an "untemarkable" livet ultrasound 2 years ago. The GGT is disturbing. Can this indicate fibrosis? I had been ilimonating liver disease dueto the AST and ALT ratio.
Brief Answer:
GGT elevation doesnt always indicate liver fibrosis
Detailed Answer:
Good morning
GGT elevation may be because of a recent alcohol consumption and need not always indicate liver fibrosis. The normal ultrasound two years ago is reassuring.
To detect and categorize liver fibrosis, I would recommend an ultrasound liver elastography (different from the standard abdominal ultrasound) which is now a routine practice.
To check the trend in the liver functions, I would recommed a repeat check of your liver enzymes after 4 weeks after complete abstinence from all drugs, medicines, alcohol and energy supplements.
Hope this answer will you solve your problem
