Question: Hi, I am a 69 year old male in good health. I am taking Xarelto for a DVT in my lower left leg.
I know that co Q 10 interferes with Warfarin, but is co q 10 also contraindicated with Xarelto? Thank you very much.

Brief Answer:
No you can take it.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Co Q 10 decrease the effect of warfarin. It reduce the INR. Because co Q 10 has similar action like vitamin K which works as warfarin antagonist.

Newer drugs like xarelto has different mechanism of action so theoretically you can take it. But larger studies are not available.

So it is not contraindicated you can take it, but you should consult your doctor before taking them togather.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me.
I will be happy to answer.
