Question: Hi, I was taking dayquil & nyquilcold and flu pills for a bad cold. After a few says of use, I found bruises on my legs and arms and I usually don't bruise easily. Can these medications cause this? I'm not taking more than the recommended dosage.
Brief Answer:
Not common
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this bruises that you observed on your body. It is not usually a side effect of this medication. I am not too sure if this is a rash that you have reported as a bruise. The diffuse nature of this on the skin makes it more likely to be a rash. In this case, I will suggest that you stop taking this medication. If any other concerning conditions should arise, then seek medical consultation.
For now, try different medications for your symptoms like Tylenol for headaches and fever, Benadry for nasal congestion, etc.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to request for more information if needed.
