Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for writing to us on HCM.
Ginette 35 is a product that contains two substances: cyproterone and ethinyl estradiol. This product is used as a birth control pill. It is also used in treatment of refractory acne, Polycyctic ovary syndrome(PCOS), hirsutism (Terminal facial hair) .
It seems like the premature bleeding you have experience could be due to Ginette 35. Sometimes after initiating OCP like Ginette 35, women experience irregular periods or breakthrough bleeding, which is pretty normal.
Breakthrough bleeding refers to bleeding from the uterus occurring between menstrual periods.
If spotting continues beyond the first three cycles of Ginette-35 use, then I would suggest you to consult your doctor again for a substitute drug.
Hope the information was useful.
let me know if you require any more assistance from my side.
Thanks

Thanks for your reply , actually i had bleeding in the morning after 15 days of the medicine intake, then there was no bleeding the next day and again a little bit bleeding the third day.
This is my first cycle of Ginnette 35.Its been just 10 days i have started taking the medicine .
So is it normal.
Also another query I have is my laser doctor has also prescribed me Aldactone 50 along with it for 60 days ,So what is the use of that medicine along with ginnete 35 and should i take both the medicines together.
Please guide me .
-Thanks,

Continue Aldactone and Ginette 35
Detailed Answer:
Yes it seems like you are having spotting or breakthrough bleeding which is common after initiation of hormonal therapy.
Aldactone contains drug spironolactone. Spironolactone works differently from drugs in Ginette 35 in reducing the effect of androgens on your hair follicles.
It completes which active form of testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and thus prevents its action on hair follicles. Aldactone also increases metabolic clearance of testosterone from body.
Since the mechanism of action of both Aldactone and Ginette 35 is very different and their action is synergestic, combining both the drugs will give much better results. Thus I would suggest you to continue Aldactone as advised.
Make sure you keep regular follow up with your dermatologist because these drugs require proper monitoring and frequently laboratory analysis.
Hope you got my point here.
