Does Ibuprofen Cause Painful Urination?
you can but investigation is required
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
if by 'hard urine' you mean that you feel pain (either burning or other kind of pain), you have difficulty to pass urine, etc then it could be a urinary tract infection. A urinalysis will document the infection (or exclude it). A urine culture may help to identify the pathogen and receive appropriate treatment. If you also have pain around the testicles or between your anus and the scrotum then the prostate may be involved. An ultrasound scan of the urinary tract may help by providing various clues for obstruction, inflammation, etc.
Ibuprofen may help with the symptoms but I wouldn't recommend this as treatment because of its potential for side effects (ulceration of the gastrointestinal tract, increased blood pressure, liver toxicity, allergies, kidney toxicity, etc). Ibuprofen and other painkillers can be used only as the last resort that is if the the pain is unbearable. I usually suggest paracetamol (acetaminophen) to my patients because it is usually less toxic when used according to instruction.
I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
