Does Intramax Usage Before Testing Affecting My TSH?

Question: I am taking levothyroxine 112 mg a day. I use to have Hchimottos but not any longer. I started to take the Intramax by Drucker Labs which is helping me tremendously for my whole body. But 10 days from started to take it I did a blood test and my TSH came out 5.33 I had taken the intramax 1 hr before the blood test. Is the Intramax affecting my TSH? It contains 177mcg of Iodine in the formula and the lab said that they often hear people get better with their Thyroid. Thank you, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer: repeat test Detailed Answer: hello XXXXXXX this is dr mittal, md i read your query now taking iodine before the test may definitely affect the test. to that extent, the people who told you so before are correct however, it is usually the long term intake of iodine that affects the levels of tsh so. short term use as described by you is not really that significant i would suggest a repeat test to confirm best of luck dr mittal
