How Long Does It Take To Induce Periods On Meprate?
Hi, I was not getting my period for last two months and all the HPT tests were negative. Consulted a gynec, she ruled out thyroid, PCOS and pregnancy. Suggested i take meprate for 5 days ( 2 tabs a day). I took these till Wednesday. How long will it take for my periods to start?
Definitely, besides, other indications of use of Meprate (Medroxyprogesterone), it can be used to induce periods in women having amenorrhea. Usual dose for this indication is 10 mg of Meprate two times daily for 5 days. The periods should be there, within 7-10 days after last dose of Meprate.
However, sometimes it may take a longer periods to induce periods. Still, 15 days, is the maximum period, you should wait. Very rarely, if it is not present, even after 15 days waiting period, then you are advised to see your doctor about this and treatment may be done accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
