Question: my wife take the following for blood pressure:
lisinopril 40 mg
amliodipine besylate 10mg
Hydrochiorothiazide 25 I think mg
Is that too much? I live in xxxxxxx, a state that I heard leads the nation in prescribing medication.

These are not too much medicine and being on these medications is quite common. Actually it depends on the blood pressure level, if it's not controlled on single drug then we need to add second and third. Our goal is bp control as it's a most dangerous thing.
She should have low salt diet. You should buy one electronic bp apparatus and monitor her blood pressure regularly thrice a day for one week then once or twice a week and bp should not be persistently more than 140/90 mm hg.
