Does MRSA Infection Spread Through Open Wounds?
Question: Sorry – that I disturb you !
I want to ask you again one question about MRSA – because you are good understanding expert
1. If the wound is deep after surgery is infected by MRSA bacteria it can spread and transmit to blood stream and cause blood stream infection.
But for some case it could be wound infection but in some case blood stream infection
So it is important how good person immune system to fight against infection – and how fast medical notice that there is infection and start antibiotic therapy?
2. If i get cut wound outside hospital just in some casual case and wound gets infected by MRSA and my immunity is ok – infection wont spread to blood stream in first 24 h – and if i get to hospital in time i will avoid serious problems ?
3. How deep could be the wound that could cause series problems?

In hospital those who get MRSA blood stream infection ( as the most part of case are blood stream infection) have develop it so rapid as medical personal can not catch it and get antibiotic therapy in time ?
Because
They immune system is so weak that they develop blood stream infection so fast – that medical personal can not catch it ?
Or it is problem of regular wound care – and follow the surgical wound in time?

Yes in majority of cases, it is so rapid and not easily diagnosable earlier due to the poor immunity. But some times, very rarely poor wound care also contributes (but very mildly).

1.CA MRSA - virulent and aggressive than HA MRSA but it is no a big threat for healthy people ? It could spread faster than HA MRSA but healthy people immune system will slow down spread of it while sick people will develop it rapidly.
2. So I should no worried about text articles where it is said that CA MRSA spread faster, virulent and more aggressive that HA MRSA.
3. As I USA invasive MRSA statistics:
Ca MRSA - 15, 138
HA MRSA - 58,812

. So as most case of CA MRSA is skin infection, and US it is widespread it could be more than 1 million skin infection so we could conclude that from 1 million 15 thousand is invasive…..so it is not so dangers….and develop as invasive infection only in sick an weak persons.

We know that people who are colonized with CA MRSA in their nose if they are healthy and follow the hygiene get free from MRSA colonization without decolonization – it is written in literature. The question is about its mechanism – is it because as MSSA overtake CA MRSA – because it is more natural bacteria better adapted to live in natural environment. AS it would be logic conclusion why people get free from CA MRSA colonization.
