Does Niacin Help Remove Tetrahydrocannabinol From System?
Question: Will niacin help rid by body of thc? I haven't smoked in 86 days and was tested at 77 days and showed positive for 35 nano grams. I was tested again today after 86 days of not smoking(I'm awaiting the results) I've been eating healthy and exercising daily for the past 31 days. I'm 5'10 and weigh 307 pounds. I lost 21 pounds in 30 days.. My levels before excersing were 60 nano grams after 55 days of not smoking. If I take the normal dosage of niacin will it make my levels spike? I have another test in 5 days and do not want my levels to rise
Brief Answer:
Niacin will not spike THC level...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There are claims from users that Niacin at high doses helps clear THC faster. However there are no scientific evidences that niacin will flush THC out sooner. That being said, niacin use wouldn't raise THC levels if you used.
As the metabolite level is dropping gradually I am fairly confident it will be out of your system sooner if you do not use cannabis (marijuana) again. And should you consider starting niacin it won't spike THC level.
Hope this is clear. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards

Can my thc levles spike after 75 days with out smoking? After i was 45 days clean my levles went up 3 nano grams at a time from 46 nano grams to 60 in a period of 3 weeks. The company dr said i was smoking again which isnt true. I began exercising after 56 days on a daily basis and have continued to do so. I was tested at 77 days and showed 35 nano grams. I was tested again after 86 days and am awaiting the results. If they went up I will be fired. I am 5'10 307 pounds as of this week. When my levels spiked I was 333 pounds and was not exercising. Any info will be helpful
Brief Answer:
Weight increase may not be related..
Detailed Answer:
Though rate of THC metabolism and excretion is weight dependent, I don't think lack of exercise or weight increase was a reason why the level spiked. If you haven't smoked during that period, other cause may be related to use of certain prescription medicine or passive smoking. If these are not a cause, then I'm unaware of any other reason.
That being said without exposure to any form of cannabis, I'm more than sure you will have declining thc value.

What type of medication? I take metformin for diabetis and omeprazole. I was not around any one who smoked
Brief Answer:
Omeprazale and diabetes is listed as one of the cause of false positive..
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am sorry for the late reply. I was out of station due to a family emergency.
Currently tests used to screen / monitor drug levels are extra accurate minimizing false reports. However omeprazole - a proton pump inhibitor is listed one of the common reason for a false positive report. Similarly diabetes can slow down drug metabolism / cause false positive report. I am not sure if these spiked / caused error values since the numbers were declining few weeks earlier.
Discuss with your doctor whether you need to be on omeprazole while THC levels are being monitored.
Hope this answered your question. I am sorry once again for late reply.
Good luck!!
