Brief Answer:
Best not to combine these two because of duplication of medicines.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

There are a variety of different NyQuil preparations which contain different ingredients. I will assume what you have is NyQuil liquid. If that is not correct, please let me know.

Nyquil Liquid contains the following medications:
Acetaminophen (same thing as Tylenol which is for fever or pain)
Dextromethorphan (a cough suppressant)
Doxylamine (an antihistamine)
Pseudoephedrine (a decongestant)

Bromfed DM is:
Bromphenirimine (an antihistamine that is somewhat sedating)
Dextromethorphan (same cough suppressant as above)
Pseudoephedrine (same decongestant as above - can be somewhat stimulating)

Combining these NyQuil Liquid and Bromfed DM increases the risk of side effects from the 2 different antihistamines (dry mouth, possible drowsiness and mental fogginess).

In addition, you would be getting an increased dose of dextromethorphan and pseudo ephedrine because BOTH preparations have these medications in them.

So... No, I would advise NOT taking both.

If you already went ahead, you should be ok, but if you have not, it would be best not to take both.
