Does Palmetto Interact With Finasteride And Doxazosin?
Question: I take doxazisin and finisteride for my BPH. cAN I take saw palmetto extract as well. What are the interactions

Since there is no interaction between these drugs and saw palmetto there is no harm in taking it along with these drugs .

If I were to stop taking one of the prescribed meds and continue with the saw palmetto 320 mg which one would it be . I AM GUESSING finisteride but I would like your professional opinion

Doxazosin is an alpha blocker which relaxes smooth muscles in prostate and bladder neck and there by helps to improve urine flow where as Finasteride helps to reduce the size of enlarged prostate .Long term use of Finasteride causes side effect of loss of desire for sex (Libido)
I would suggest you to consult your urologist as regards which of these two drugs can be stopped.
