Does Pantoprazole Help Treat Anxiety?

Question: My wife has alz. has been on xanax .25 and taking a half pill. Dr changed to pantoprazole sodium 20 mg She gets the shakes. does this new med help? she has no stomach problems.

Pantoprazole is not used to treat anxiety.
On the other side xanax cannot be used on a daily basis for a long time.
I think maybe the doctor meant to give Paroxetine instead of Pantoprazole.

But the safest way to confirm is to talk with them so they can explain what was their plan when they suggested this.
