If the test is specifically looking for the exact active ingredient, then both would show up. However, if the tests looks just for the class and not the specific ingredient, then would all show up as the same drug. Therefore, whether this is detected or not would depend on the specifications on the laboratory request form.

When was the last time you took your boyfriend's medications? If this would be more than 8days before the testing, then it would have been eliminated from the body and there would be no further risk in identifying this on testing.
