Question: MY DAUGHTER WASINVOLVED IN A TREEIBLE ACCIDENT, NECK INJURIES REQUIREING TYO SCREWS AND A PLATE IN HER CHEST. SHE IS TAKING PERCODON, AND IS SUFFERINF SERVERE DEPRESSION. COULD THE DRUG BE CAUSING THIS.

Hello,
I have studied your case. Percodon is a sedative and it can cause depression and sedation. I think that she should stop taking it and replace it with some other pain killer like like Voveron or Ultracet. Percodon can not be stopped suddenly. It should be stopped gradually.
I would like to know little detail about this illness.
1.When did this injury occurred?
2.Is she taking any other medicine?
