Brief Answer:
Reduction in Hb is not direct side effect of Pioz.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Pioz is pioglatizone, a medication used for diabetes.
In the recent past the drug has been banned in various countries because of its side effects common one being cancer.
Fall in hemoglobin (Hb) or anemia is secondary to side effects caused by the drug.
Thus, I would suggest you to consult your treating physician to review the drug as a part of your anti-diabetic regime.
Use of drug totally depends on the clinical condition of the diabetic.
So, you can discuss about it with your doctor.
Fall in hemoglobin is not a direct side effect of Pioz.

Thanks and take care
