Does RBC Count Of 10 Require Treatment?
What does it mean ? Does it require
treatment? Thanks & rgds XXXXXXX XXXXXXX from XXXXXXX
Further details needed
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query carefully and understand your concerns.
I would, however, need the following inputs from you--
* Please upload the report. I am looking for the pus cell count and other parameters.
* Please mention the complaints for which you had to go to the doctor and get the tests done.
As such the RBC count in urine might have been raised in case of a urinary tract infection. Damage to the filtering membrane of the kidneys could be another factor. I would be able to correlate after I get your inputs. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause.
As of now, you need to ensure that you drink plenty of water.
Based on your inputs I would be able to guide you further.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards
Thank you.
As desired, blood and urine report attached.
Please guide.
Thank you XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
You need to drink plenty of water.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for uploading the report. As I can see, the WBC count (in blood) is fine and pus cell count (in urine) is not raised. An infection therefore seems unlikely. However, the specific gravity is raised which indicates that your urine is concentrated. You therefore need to drink plenty of water. This should also clear the cause of blood in urine. You have not mentioned the symptoms which made you seek medical assistance. If you mention them it will help me to correlate.

Steam inhalation should help
Detailed Answer:
In such a case I would insist you not to get bothered about the RBCs in urine. Steam inhalation should help in case of the cough and cold. You can take Asthalin inhaler if there is wheezing or respiratory distress.
You can get the routine microscopy of urine repeated once the present episode subsides.
