Does Regestrone Sandoz Have Adverse Effects During Pregnancy?
Question: Kindly advise if "Sandoz Regestrone 5 Mg 1 tab twice daily for 5 days" during this pregnancy will have any adverse impact on the fetus in future.
Kindly advise us, we are very anxious, if Regestrone 5 can cause any damage to fetus.

Thanks for contacting healthcare magic.
If accidently you have taken regesterone 5mg twice a day for 5 days to initiate a withdrawal bleed without confirming pregnancy and now after having confirmed the pregnancy , you are scared of its adverse effect on the fetus.
Then let me tell you fetus is absolutely safe and this tablet is a progesterone which would instead of bleeding in presence of pregnancy would help in better implantation and placental invasion into the uterine endometrium . So in short its helpful rather than harmful and hence no need to be scared.
The pregnancy in utero is fine and folvite and susten 250 , which is also a progesterone , should be continued till 12 weeks at least .

Nothing special, she should take folvite and susten till 12-14 weeks daily and also avoid any form of exercise and heavy weight lifting as aata ggunny bags or rice bags in kitchen or even a bucket with water, watch her steps on stairs and also don't force eating as nausea may hinder the taste and selection.
She can eat whatever she feels like apart from papaya which is known to have papain which can cause uterine contraction early and may induce abortion sometimes.
Maintain good hydration status and enjoy her pregnancy.:)
