Ok to take but be aware of possibility for increased sedation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I looked up the ingredients of Theraflu (acetaminophen, diphenhydramine, phenylephrine) and cross drug checked it with mirtazapine for interactions.
The combination of the diphenhydramine (the active ingredient in Benadryl -an antihistamine) with mirtazapine, can increase the sedative effects of the diphenhydramine.
What this means is that you can expect some increased sedation (and possible mental fogginess); and you probably shouldn't drive or do other things that require an alert mind until you know how a dose or two of this combination affects you.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
