What is probably the major cause for the Creatinin to jump from 1.8 to 2.8? Could it be increased use of the drug Torsemide?
Brief Answer:
yes, the increased use can cause the creatinine levels to rise
Detailed Answer:
HI
Yes, the torsemide, like other diurectics can unfortunately cause the creatinine to increase. If the dose or frequency has increased then this can cause the creatinine levels to rise.
It is one of the possible side effects that can occur with these medications.
It is not due to damage to the structure of the kidneys but due to problems with filtering the creatinine
Please feel free to ask anything else
