Does Tramadol Interact With Paroxetine?
there is a potential interaction
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Tramadol is opiate though it is a weak opiate.
There are two possible interactions between tramadol and paroxetine.
Paroxetine can affect the levels/effectiveness of tramadol. It decreases the conversion/change of tramadol from the original form to the active form in the body.
This means that it can cause decreased activity of the tramadol.
Both of these drugs also increase serotonin levels. Serotonin can cause serious problems if its levels become too high so the combination would need to be monitored.
Hydrocodone/paroxetine combination does not cause increased serotonin but the paroxetine can increase the levels of the hydrocodone
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
to reduce risk of bleeding
Detailed Answer:
HI
Sorry about the delayed reply
It is understandable, with a history of previous TIAs to be concerned about stopping plavx.
With any injection there is a potential risk of bleeding. With the use of an anticoagulant such as plavix, the risk of bleeding increases even more
To make sure that there is no excess bleeding, they would have suggesting the plavix is discontinued for a bit
