Question: As of today, Husband's bp 175/106. black 51 year old male. He was on meds for diabetes/high cholesterol before. Can we wait a month for an appt or go to ER now?

Oh my goodness. Thank you so much...he was about to go to work. I'll out a stop to that right now..thanks again. They just said they could squeeze him in in 2 weeks. I'll just go to the ER.

I must inform you that 175/106 is considered moderate to severe hypertension and should not be neglected.

There must be some reasons for high blood pressure and it should be investigated.
