Does Breathing Pesticide For A Short Duration Affect The Fetus?

Question: Hi doctor,
I'm 8 weeks pregnant now and we had pest control at our home.
it was done in washrooms only and I covered my mouth and nose with cotton duppatta.
I was there in house for 15 min and then we left the house.
will this affect my baby ?

Brief Answer:
This will not affect your baby
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about pesticide effects on baby.
There is no risk in your baby. You have not ingested pesticide and only breathing pesticide for a short duration will not affect your baby. Hence don't worry about it.
Let me know if you need any more help.

I read at many sites that it can cause birth defects or miscarriage. So I panicked.
we left our home at 12 noon and now we'll go there at 10 morning. I hope that much gap is fine, till I enter the home again.
Just curious, how much amount and duration of pesticide can harm. I just want to compare my case. Sorry for being too curious.

Brief Answer:
Smelling wont harm
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Pesticide if ingested (eaten) for a long time in early pregnancy before 8 weeks can cause harm.
Only smelling it after 8 weeks don't matter.
