Does Brownish Stain At Burnt Site On Thigh Indicate Infection?
Question: Hello , I spilt boiling hot water on my outer thigh 5 days ago and burned my leg about 8 in. Long on my outer thigh. I applied ice water compresses until the pain was were I could bear it. I applied siler ointment and stearel dressing. The next morning I had very larg blisters filed with liquid. 3 days later they popped .. Then while getting undressed some of the skin was pushed back exposing raw flesh. I have been keeping a steral dressing on it and have noticed that a brownish stain is on the pad.. Also the red ring around it is darker.. Is it infected? I don't have a fever...thank you XXXXXXX

You are doing a great job and taking perfectly great care, but it is always better to get a few tests, particularly the one I mentioned. You also get a prescription for antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines whenever required.
Medicines / supplements like Multi-vitamins and ginseng do help for early recovery.
Hence it is better to get a consultation of a General Surgeon just for an overview and revisit if needed in future. The patch in the upper and lower pole looks a bit in-depth.
