Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

I followed your above mentioned links and would explain that these supplements do not cause any significant raise in blood pressure.

So, it is safe to take them both concomitantly with your actual blood pressure medicine (amlodipine and propranolol).

These supplements are just vitamins and proteins, which help increase your muscle and mental performance.

Besides the doses of amlodipine and propranolol that you are taking are really low.

For this reason, I would recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values, frequently during the days (in sitting position after 10 minutes of total relax) and write them in a notebook.

If your blood pressure values are above the normal ranges (140/90 mm Hg) most of the time, you should consider raising the dose of amlodipine to 10mg daily.

Regarding Propranolol, you should know that its main action in on your heart rate. It has a low effect on your blood pressure. It also can help reduce anxiety.

If you have a higher heart rate, you should consider raising the dose of propranolol.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Thank you
but do you mean i can take any supplement from these three from the link because i asked the doctor if i can take supplement and he said no because it is has stimulant and it will increase my blood pressure and also he said it's not evaluated by FDA so they they don't know if these supplement will interact will blood pressure medication or no. i already bought the first one in the link but i am concern take it as my blood monitor stopped working . because mention it contain Ginseng in google and they mentioned may increase blood pressure

it said " Do not take ginseng without first talking to your doctor if you have a bleeding or blood clotting disorder, diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease, or if you are taking any medicines to prevent or treat these conditions. Ginseng has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or purity.
"

And when i checked my blood pressure monitor it show is 160/ 85 and after 5 minute it show 137/ 80. But is stopped working, i am now buying new monitor so i can check my blood pressure at home.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

I would explain that Ginseng is a drug used in many countries.

Its effects and adverse effects have been studied widely.

Its efficacy in erectile dysfunction, cognitive dysfunction and diabetes has been proven.

From the other had it has different adverse effects (like low blood pressure or high blood pressure, insomnia, euphoria, diarrhea, menstrual cycle dysfunction, bleeding, etc.).

It does not interact with propranolol or amlodipine.

But, it may interact with aspirin, etc..

So, it is up to you, if you want to try it.

You can start taking it and monitor your blood pressure. As I mentioned above, it can cause low or high blood pressure.

You can not now, if you do not try it.

Hope to have clarified some of your uncertainties!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

My opinion as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

With the above sentence, I meant that as it has shown to cause low blood pressure in some patients and high blood pressure in other patients, we can not judge about its effects on your blood pressure, without trying it. Its adverse effects depend on individual characteristics.

Regarding Acetyl-L-Carnitine, I don't think that it is safer than Ginseng. It may cause different adverse effects too like: high blood pressure, anemia, cough, numbness in the limbs, leg swelling, edema, etc.).

But, all these adverse effects (of Ginseng and Acetyl-L-Carnitine) are experienced in less than 10 % of the patients. Which means that 90% of the patients tolerate them well, without experiencing their adverse effects.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Wishing good health,

Dr. Iliri
