Does Chemotherapy Require Isolation From Germs?

Question: My wife will be starting chemo on Wednesday for CLL. In your opinion, how critical is it for her to be isolated from germs (= human contact) for the next 6 months?

Hello dear. I have gobe through the query. So in cll good hygiene and prevention is important to prevent infection. Frequent hand washing, clean drinking water and propeely cooked food is must. Also vaccination against flu and pneumonia are essential.
As cll reduces body immunity, germ prevention is must.

I don't feel that really answers my question: How critical is it to avoid visitors, etc. Can she go to a concert, fly in an airliner, etc.??

Detailed Answer:
Hello again. So she can meet visitors provided unnecessary handshaking is avoided and visitors donot suffer from droplet infections like pnuemonia, upper respiratory infections. Similarly travel by airlines is permitted with a mask on face. Concerts are best avoided as ther are crowded.
