Does Consumption Of Alcohol Before A Liver Test Affect The Results?
Question: Hi
I am a 39 year old healthy and fit female. I don't smoke and only drink on special occasions. I recently had a full blood count, liver and kidney test. All was normal except my liver test came back with marginally high enzymes.
I did have an alcohol binge 36 hours before the test as I was celebrating a friend's birthday.
Could this be why my enzymes were elevated? Last test was 2 years ago and in normal range.
I'm worried it's something more serious.
Thank you
