Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that having 1 or 2 glasses of wine will not invalidate your Holter test.
So, don't worry about that!
Just try to be careful with the electrodes attached on the skin, because if the connections are not preserved during the entire recordings time, there may be periods of blank registration.
In case of any further questions, feel free to ask me again.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri

What about three or four?
Brief Answer:
Better to be prudent:
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
If the purpose of Holter monitoring is detection or quantification of arrhythmia, having excessive quantity of alcohol may influence in the conclusion of the test by triggering certain arrhythmia such as paroxysmal atrial fibrillation of extrasystoles in predisposed individuals, or increasing their occurrence.
So, my opinion would go in favor of one or two, but more would be better after the Holter device has finished its recording period.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about too much!
Detailed Answer:
You shouldn't worry too much!
If any change in the quantity of potential arrhythmic events will be revealed, it may be easily correlated with excessive drinking (in case they appear more frequently after celebration).
But, the overall Holter result will not be affected.
So, relax and have fun!
Best wishes,
Dr. Iliri
