What Causes Severity In Extrasystoles?

Am a 48-yr-old female who's suffered from extrasystoles most of my life and supraventricular atrial tachycardia. I've been taking Atenolol for many years but as I get older the extrasystoles become more frequent, especially at certain times in my cycle. Could hormones be a factor?

Hello,

Female hormones do have effect on heart beat, as FSH and LH level in cycle, basal heart rate also varies.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
