Brief Answer:
Alcohol and proteinuria

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Relation of protein in urine to alcohol consumption depends on the amount of alcohol consumed. Moderate amount of alcohol consumption. Drinking 1-2 glasses of wine daily have shown to decrease the amount of proteins in urine. However, more than 3-4 glasses of wine daily causes renal damage and increase protein levels in urine (mainly due to alcohol's effect on increased blood pressure with eventual strain on kidneys).
